Monday Blues

Good afternoon friends!! I had one hell of a weekend,lol.. I'm in Ohio and we felt the wrath from hurrican Ivan yesterday. The winds were so strong and electric out for hours, Alot of others will not get electric back for days :( All schools are closed and alot of buisnesses also. I feel so bad for the people in Texas, I could'nt imagine 160 mile winds, Ours were 80 miles and that was enough to scare me.... I hope you all are having a good day!!!

Hi Karen,
I have some online friends in Texas it is really bad. I am so worried
about them too. Our prayers are with all in the wicked path of this
terrible storm. Stay safe with you and yours and be sure to keep me
updated on how things are. I will be thinking about you and praying
for your safety as well. Hope your day is ok for you today as well.

Hi Karen, sorry to hear you were affected. I think the all of North America will feel it in some way or another. We got tons of rain here this weekend.
I really feel for those in Texas - that must be just god awful to go through and then to try to find some normalcy out of it all. I just hope all will be ok and be able to rebuild.
I know I'd love to send some support down there for sure. I'm thinking maybe we as a board could come together and those who can pitch in we can send some down to the Salvation Army.
I'm sure they could use the help!

That would be awsome!!! We regained our power after 6 hours, I could'nt imagine what Texas is going through. There are still 9,000 households around us that will not have it untill the end of the week :( Let me know if you decide to get something going on the forum for the Texans.

Well I am all game for it Karen. We would love to support a cause like that! I hate to say it but with contests and board costs we just arn't earning enough to donate, actually we arn't earning hardly anything, but I know how much they need our support and I would really like to do something.
Let me see if I can think up a good depositors promotion to get some revenue into the board. If I can then we would donate whatever revenue would come from it.
I'll try to put something together over the next few days....:) and hopefully everyone as a community can come together and then we can send a nice care package to our friends in Texas.
